Every year, during the months of February and March, Tenuta Casanova moves for a few weeks to the USA, to organize Tuscan dinners and tastings for our friends that have visited our farm in the past and want to replicate a similar experience for their own friends back home. It is a way for us to meet visitors face to face and tell our story and our way of working, and it is also a great opportunity for us to raise money for our humanitarian mission in Kenya.
The idea is very simple: Rita cooks an amazing Tuscan dinner with all her specialties, using the farm ingredients, and people enjoy the beautiful food paired with all our wines for what hopefully is a night to remember.
Every year the plan changes a bit because there are always some brand new stops, while some parties have in time become a very pleasant habit, a tradition almost, such as the dinner at the prestigious “Bear’s Club” in Palm Beach, where Jack and Barbara Nicklaus invite us so kindly every year (under the promise that we’ll keep cooking their favorite: lasagna!), or The Grove country club, near Nashville, where our event has become the highlight of the local wine club, or again at our friends’ in Gulfport MS, where we feel like we’ve become part of the family and every time come home with new pieces for our Mardigras beans collection!
For us it is always a great experience and an incredible joy to be welcomed in people’s kitchens, in their homes, in their very hearts. We have met so many special people and we’ll never thank them enough.
